Sara Beth Thomas
Sara Beth has a particular love for jazz and improvisation. Born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico until the age of 11, she has been instilled with a love for diverse cultural and artistic expressions, and her deepest desire is to help others find their own artistic voice through music. Sara Beth is classically trained from the age of six, but her true passion and strength has always been jazz and improvisation, which she studied in tandem with classical lessons throughout high school and college. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Pedagogy at Wheaton College in 2021 with an emphasis in Jazz studies under the instruction of Bradley Williams, and now seeks to incorporate a healthy balance in her own teaching style between classical music and jazz/pop improvisation. Throughout her four years at Wheaton College, Sara Beth taught at Bellas Artes Music Academy in the Chicagoland area, where she enjoyed working with over 50 students of varying ages and levels. While maintaining a structured direction to her lessons, she also desires to make music learning fun and accessible, accommodating to each individual student. Her highest priority is to instill a lifelong love of music in all of her students.
