Nicholas Fuson

Teaching Artist, Brass Instruments

A Kentucky native, Nicholas received a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education from Murray State University. He is licensed to teach all grades (K-12) in both Kentucky and Illinois. He taught general music, piano, and concert band at Fulton County Schools in Hickman, Kentucky before moving to Chicago in 2024 with his wife and daughter. Nicholas has been playing the trumpet for 14 years. During that time he has played in a large number of different settings including large ensembles, small (chamber) ensembles, marching bands, jazz bands, solos with piano accompaniment, and true solo performances.

In addition to his love of music Nicholas enjoys long distance running, cooking, bowling, and gaming. He is excited to join ChiME to teach all brass instruments (trumpet, trombone, French horn, baritone/euphonium, tuba). ​
