Music Therapy Instrument Lessons
Music Therapy Instrument Lessons at ChiME are available for clients of all ages, with or without diagnoses, who wish to pursue growth on a particular instrument such as voice, piano, or guitar.
Board-certified music therapists lead the recurring virtual or in-person lessons, using their therapeutic knowledge and skills to create environments of success for those who might not flourish in a traditional instrument lesson. Periodic progress reports detail ongoing session work for clients, families, and other therapeutic professionals. |

Individual lessons are available both remotely and at our West Town facility. What Happens in LESSONS?
Clients meet with their board-certified music therapist and engage in musical activities designed to target both the client’s nonmusical goals and growth on a particular instrument, like piano, guitar, or voice. Each lesson, therapist and client work toward the client’s unique musical and nonmusical goals in a setting of fun, active music-making. At the end of the 9-week therapy block, caregivers will be provided a Music Therapy Progress Report, detailing the data and measurable growth during sessions. what are the expectED results of LESSONS?

What do we need to participate?
No prior music experience is needed. If lessons are remote, the therapist will utilize materials and instruments available to the clients at home. Clients need access to a device with camera, microphone, speaker, and internet. How do we get started?
