Luis Torres
Teaching Artist, Guitar Luis is an ambitious guitarist from the west suburbs, who is proficient in many styles of music. At the age of 11, he started learning guitar and joined his local church band. Later he began to play in various churches and during his high school years, he attended Merit School of Music where he further expanded his knowledge in both music theory and guitar. Around his first year in college, he was offered a full time job as a guitarist at Willow Creek community church, one of the biggest churches in the Midwest. This opportunity not only opened up many more doors for him in the musical world, but it was a great learning experience. He improved many aspects of his musicianship and built strong relationships and connections with other talented musicians who have greatly impacted his life. Luis earned a Bachelor's degree in Guitar Performance from Berklee College of Music in Boston. |
