Phoebe Wu
Teaching Artist, Piano
Phoebe Wu has taught piano for over three years in various locations including Chicago, San Jose, and virtually for students all over the country. She is dedicated to encouraging curiosity and joy in music-making in her students. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from University of Michigan where she studied with Logan Skelton and Christian Matijas-Mecca.
As a soloist and chamber musician, Phoebe performs classical and contemporary classical music, often bringing new works to life with composers, musicians, dancers, choreographers, and interdisciplinary artists. Past collaborators include composers Jennifer Higdon, Viet Cuong, and Carlos Simon; and Khemia Ensemble, Suburban Piano Quartet, and members of Yarn/Wire. She can also occasionally be found as a performance artist, woodworker, and tap dancer.
