This program is offered to individuals at our West Town location and to partner schools (at their locations). It is available both as an after school activity during the school year and as a camp during the summer.

Drumline summer camps offer the best experience when students are present for the entire duration of the camp. Fall and Spring classes are more flexible and it's possible to join later in the session. what do children do?
Students use bucket drums, bass drums, snare drums, shakers, tambourines, and other small percussion instruments to actively make music during rehearsals. They learn music by ear and rote (with traditional and symbolic visual representation of music notation). Each session (even summer camps!) culminates in a final performance. What materials are needed for participation?
Students don't need any materials to attend. Instruments used during the program will be provided by and stored at ChiME. Camp participants should bring their own NUT-FREE lunch from home. Meet our Teaching Artists...
